We've had this conversation before.
It doesn't matter.
If you are prettier, smarter, funnier. It doesn't matter.
If you could give more, care more, love more. It doesn't matter.
If his friends, family, loved ones think, thinks, think you are the one for him. It doesn't matter.
If you complain less, fuss less, demand less. It doesn't matter.
There is no point reciting the litany of why he should have picked (and chose and loved) you.
I think this is my cue to change the topic.

Cobra Commander
I'm so glad that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is Cobra Commander.
I don't really remember anything about GI Joe, except that there were some action figures wearing army pants.
I also thought that rather than a unit, GI Joe was a specific person who was the bida of the show.
Needless to say, I saw the movie because I love movies and not because I was curious how the cartoon was interpreted or whatever more reasonable reason.
I am however happy that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in the big screen, in a role that would get him into the limelight as I had been looking forward to watching him since I saw Mysterious Skin.

oversized box
Some things can be contained in a much smaller box, but we choose otherwise because there is comfort in having leeway in case we were wrong.
Jack in the box. Horrible. Scary.
I guess it is another application, if you like, of hoping for the best and expecting the absolute worst.
The next part of this post would probably mean nothing to anyone except to the person it is directed to. For all I know, that person could be me.
Maybe moving the sandwich to the lunchbox is part of the process, it could be the first inch off the ground upon taking that leap of faith.

flight of the conchords
I've started watching this series and it is really funny. I've seen two episodes so far, the first two from the second season. I think I could spend a whole afternoon watching the rest of the episodes (and eating junk food).
It's probably not gonna happen this weekend though.

glow
Why is it that no matter how many times I read the book or see the movie, I always catch myself smiling? Image from here.

the 'when harry met sally' effect
The movie was on tv a few days ago and I noticed that more than a few friends actually updated their status to quote or to express their warm fuzzy high feeling about it.
I always liked Billy Crystal, but I don't expect all girls to get it. With this being said, I wonder why When Harry Met Sally remains as one of the most liked romantic comedies. Nah, I doubt that it is because of the scene in the resto.
If the sight of the leading man doesn't make the girls blush, why are they gushing?
I'm thinking....
I'm thinking because Harry, is not Harry. He is (I'm not about to write names, even random, meaningless ones) a classmate, a neighbor, a carpooling buddy, a colleague, anyone, someone. SOMEONE. Someone who was close but just maybe, not close enough.
The appeal is that it can happen but you can't shake off the thought that it can't. Around that person you are most comfortable and most uncomfortable at the same time. It is easy and awkward. It is simple but quite complex. It is confusing but seen in absolute clarity.
Boy friends for boyfriends? Beats me. Ask Sally.

mugged
I really didn't want to put anything in my new office area. By this, I mean that apart from my toothbrushing kit and desk calendar (that was there, waiting for me when I was assigned my seat), I don't have anything else personal in my bin and on my desk. I want to keep as little things as possible. In line with this strategy, I don't have my own mug. I utilized the disposable cups in the pantry. Yesterday though, someone came to me, handed me a box and said I noticed you didn't have your own cup, here. Company mug. Use it.
Now, I'm thinking I need a coaster.
