not a book
I couldn't resist the title. It was just too tempting.
Our office building is undergoing a renovation, they are taking out the tiles on the outside walls. Yes. Tiles. Outside walls. With that you can just imagine how happy I am that my workplace would no longer look like a giant sink. There is potential that the outside would finally match the inside.
I hope I am not celebrating prematurely though. It would be quite inconvenient if they are actually taking out the dull, discolored, once-white-now-gray only to be replaced by new tiles.

darker
No names. This is really a good one.
"I can not accept if I get dark, that is just...unacceptable."
Philosopher? :-p

4 saturday
I love movies. I spent countless of Friday and Saturday nights in the movie theatre. I enjoy dvd marathons. You get the idea.
However, I hardly watch Filipino films. I did see a lot of the 80's movies, but the number dwindled as time progressed. It did not help that I moved to Singapore, as now I not only do not watch the movies, I also have no idea what movies are out there. I think the last one I saw was Feung Sui. And I can't remember what it was prior to that.
How I would fare if I was to participate in a Charades-Pinoy Henyo-Pictionaryesque marathon wherein the category is 2005 - 2008 movies, Foreign and Filipino?
The answer is, not bad. Not bad at all.
I did have a moment though.
It was during Charades.
Filipino Movie.
Tagalog title.
Four words.
First word was the tagalog for four. Apat.
Somebody says "dapat".
Person in front nods. Points to his tall man.
"Apat dapat apat dapat".
Person in front shakes his head, points to his first and fourth finger.
"Apat apat dapat dapat".
He shakes his head again.
I say "Apat Dapat Para Sapat".
Everybody laughs.
What the hell. I tried.

killer instinct
I finished watching True Blood, the first season today.
WARNING: I'm about to write spoilers.
A friend told me she liked Sookie to end up with Sam, the dog. Dog, in Harry Potter context Animagus. Only because he is cuter than the vampire.
Another friend tells me, she likes Sookie to end up with the gwapo vampire, Bill.
I said I liked Rene, the fiance of the redhead waitress. A man.
(There was also a horndog whom nobody admitted liking :p )
I found out today that between the dog (errrr...werewolf?), vampire and (human) killer, I liked the killer--who didn't even have that much of a role in the first place!
Great. So much for leaving the leading men alone.

blessed
I am overly grateful that there are people who have genuine concern for me and go far beyond what is necessary to keep me from anything that--or anyone who might cause me anything but comfort.
