Jamie Scott

There is something very sad about his sound.

It is much like James Blunt's sound.

It is like looking into Andrien Brody's eyes.

It is like watching Somewhere in Time.

It is like heading to the airport after spending a holiday with HIM.

It is like the conversation I had with a friend tonight.

Junkee

It is not even Monday morning yet, but I have already decided what to have for lunch tomorrow. I'm going to McDonald's to glut myself with twister fries.

Cinderella has a good man though ;)

I got an email from an unknown person, as I am aware of the dangers of such messages, I did a print screen and cropped the image in paint so that I could post it here. And yes, I immediately deleted the email. No, I did not forward it to anyone. Thank you.

I "vietnamese resto" you

I had been eating at the same vietnamese resto for the past three Friday, and each time, I go back to the office with a headache.

The cause?

maybe because the staff couldn't understand half of what I'm saying...

or because it is damn noisy...

or because the fan keeps on blowing my hair to my face...

or because of the metal drain of the very potent vietnamese coffee that is an accident waiting to happen...

or because I always overeat...

(oh my! the doctor was right on target!)

Whatever reason, I find that I don't mind eating there again and again because the food is good. It is as if I'm a willing victim in a sadistic relationship. And I know of a few people who would actually say that it is not so much unlike love.

Kick off

I was meeting a friend for dinner, since I had some time before our reservation, I looked around the shops at a nearby mall.

I've been to the shops that are of interest to me the other day so I was pretty sure that there is nothing in particular that I wanted to get.

Just to kill time, I revisited the stores.

I looked around and surprisingly, I found a top that I liked. It was also a bonus that it was marked as 50% off. When I got to the counter, the saleslady was very apologetic, she said that the top was marked wrong, it was not on 50% off, it was in fact, 70% off.

It looks like 2008 would be a splendid year.

Not much, nope

I am still not done reading Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell.

Obviously, there is not much reading happening the past few weeks.

That book is cursed.

I still have not given up on it. By "giving up", I mean starting to read another book, and another, and another. And never going back to finish what I started. Not very much unlike breaking up or dating--for some people.

The big question: Should I move on?

Happy new year, happy new shorts

I am still not convinced that I am ready to sew pajamas; so, I once again embarked on a shorts making project. As usual, since the cloth has a 45cm width, I could not afford to make shorts my size.

The bottom of the leg is frayed, I did some edging but it looks like I need to put in some more work into this tomorrow.

The good news is that I am very lucky to have found a model--whom I didn't have to blackmail to agree to do the job. She will do the fitting this Wednesday. We'll see what happens. I'm quite excited.

Happy new year!
