While there seems to be an abundance of happily married couples amongst friends, colleagues and relatives there alsocases that seem somewhat less ideal.
I wonder what events drive couples, especially newly weds--less than 5 years into the marriage to that place when one or both become contemptuous.
It can't be the duration of the relationship. Or the fact that they are married.

i think most marriages really go through this stage.. either they become stronger and grow.. or they become weak and fall apart, which is very sad

I'm not sure. I think sometimes couples just forget that you need manners every day in your relationship. Please, thank you, and I'm sorry, are powerful tools for keeping a relationship strong. Or at least civil.
